BMW X6 XDrive 40D, Grey silver with black leather interior. Manufactured August 2013 but first registered July 2014. MOT not due until April 2025. I purchased this car last year replacing a Cayenne I'd owned for 10 years as the 40D was about 3 times as economical but drove extremely well with a lot of diesel torque. I'd expected to hold onto this for a similar time period but just had an opportunity to purchase another X6, same miles, same year but the X6 M 50D model and being a car enthusiast, I could not resist.

The owner prior to me had this car for 8 years, it was purchased from a BMW dealer and their mileage was mostly motorway commuting so did not put a lot of stress on the drivetrain, current mileage is 144K, but it drives like a new car.

The car includes £10k worth of extra factory fitted options to what was an already well specced car. The spec includes sports package, electric sunroof with blind, auto-dip and folding mirrors, removable towbar, electric heated seats with driver memory, professional navigation, upgraded sound system individual audio, sun protection, USB audio interface, Xenons, high beam assist, cruise control with brake, park distance control front and rear, reverse camera with top view, heated steering wheel, aluminium running boards, electric boot opening, 20" Y-Spoke alloy wheel style 21.

I've got the original BMW build sheet to show all the extras. The torque vectoring system (which is unique to the X6) makes it stay really stable in corners.

It's got a full-service history, along with a few oil changes in between services. I've just changed the oil, oil filter and air filter and replaced the 12V battery. I also replaced the 2 front tyres prior to MOT.

The ZF gearbox is fantastic with no issues, an oil change was also recently performed on the gearbox, BMW would say these are sealed for life, but good mechanics recommend gear oil changes for longevity.

The side steps were replaced in 2022 and Brembo discs and pads for all 4 corners at £500 cost were fitted at the end of 2023.

The final photo includes a larger screen head unit different to the smaller OEM screen in the rest of the photos. This was an android HU I purchased and fitted but have now moved to my new X6. I'd happily fit the same unit for any purchaser if they wanted to buy the new HU but was unsure how to fit it. It gives you wireless Carplay / Android Auto and works with the iDrive also retaining all existing functionality. I also purchased and fitted a Match Up 8 amplifier, this was specifically designed for the BMW sound system on this car (Hifi 676). It made a very worthwhile difference to the sound. I might not be able to fit this to my new car so would consider offering at a reasonable price if the buyer wanted.

I've included a couple of pictures showing a few scratches, they are less noticeable on a grey car but could easily be sorted. I incurred a stone chip on the passenger side windscreen which I had professionally resin filled as it was just starting to spread, there was no MOT issue either due to not affecting the driver view.

I've priced this car really reasonably, take a look at similar spec and mileage X6 40D's for sale in NI currently looking significantly more. I suspect they are overpriced as I see the same cars still for sale now that were for sale last year. These engines are reliable and if you ensure oil changes are regular, I would hope it gives it new owner many years of enjoyment.
