Very interesting drivetrain setup. Voltec electric motor will run the car purely with battery power until depleted. I've been plugging it in overnight and it gives a range of approximately 35 miles for around £3 of electricity. So if you're using the car around the city and for a short commute, it will run in full EV mode without the input of the petrol engine at all.
Want to venture further afield No problem. Once the battery depletes, you have a 1.4 VVT petrol engine range extender that will give an additional 300 miles of worry-free driving, without the reliance of charging away from home and the inevitable range-anxiety that is blighting EVs.
Given this clever combination, I haven't used any petrol whatsoever in my 200+ miles of driving it, and the car has averaged 138mpg over its lifetime! It's also free to tax and cleared for all CAZ and ULEZ.
It's a great step up from a conventional hybrid without going full-on EV.
Practically immaculate inside and out, a really fantastic, low-mileage example.
Owners pack, two charging cables and two keys present.
