Great car but high on tax, petrol and insurance. Lovely for a summer car for leisure but not practical for day to day work life.

2014 Peugeot 5008 Diesel Manual MPV by Peugeot2018 • 17th July 2018
Purchased this car a few months ago and we are happy that we purchsed this car. The driving experience is good, it goes round conners better than its sister car the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso becuase of slightly firmer suspension, but dont worry that firm suspension dosent make the ride uncomfortable. Not to say its sporty, its nowere near the sporty drive of a Ford S-Max. Beware if your going for a 1.6 HDi Engine if your coing from a 2.0 or 2,2 engine because its takes a bit of getting used to, its noticeable when your overtaking or pulling out of junctions and roundabouts. The seats are comfortable and suportive great if you have a bad back and also its very easy to get in and out which is great for people who would have a disability. Running cost are astonishing compared to our old Toyota Verso, we have been averaging 57.8 Mpg on the motorway it would average 62.5 mpg or even our highest yet of 68,8 Mpg which is amazing for a 7 seater. Tax is £120 Per Year compared to the Toyota £270 Per Year. For a Peugeot there is an air of quailty in the interior of the 5008, its definatley up there with Volkswagen and Audi quality its miles away from Peugeots of old so Build Quality is exceptional. So Far reliability is good no minor or serious problems so far, The 5008 has a good reputation for reliability so there is no need to worry about serious problems. Only one thing, you must Service Every 10,000 Miles and Service History is a must if you are buying a 5008 because if there is little or no service history then walk away because that car could have had a rough life and could cause problems for you. For me i love this car and i highly reccomend it for its space, comfort and running costs. If iam being honest if you want something sporty and fun go for the Ford S-Max. Or A bit of French Flair Renault Grand Scenic or soething with a bit of luxuary go for the Volkswagen Touran. But if you want an MPV with a slice of everything that does everything it needs, then go for the Peugeot 5008 :)

2009 Peugeot 308 cc Petrol Manual Cabriolet by AL • 19th April 2018
First purchased in 2014 with 48,000 on the clock and full service history, however, window motor had to be replaced at 54,000 then timing chain, water pump and tensioner replaced at 58,000 miles, now 89,000 miles and it requires another timing chain. It is quite normal for this engine to consume oil at a rate of 1 litre every 1000 miles, which is unacceptable.
A lovely car let down with it's French Technology! I suggest, stay clear of this model and do not be tempted with it's good looks.

2007 Peugeot 407 Estate by Kay Pee • 18th October 2016
After nearly 10 years and over 100k miles, the 407 has had little more than routine maintenance. The 1.6 HDi is a modern and economical engine if not the most powerful. Pretty smooth to drive, glides over the potholes easily.

excellent family car for little money. Cheap running costs and easy repairs. Good strong engine and I also like the safety features of the car. It has curtain airbags everywhere. Overall very pleased with such a cheaply priced family saloon.

A 2000 1.9Tdi Rapier 110 bhp model.
Engine is willing but underpowered even with 110 bhp. Trade off is that its frugal as long as you stick to behaving as though you're driving on fumes, stuck on an unfamiliar road, miles from home. When you start to push on on B roads the miles to go indicator drops and fuel warning light make comes on very quickly.
It creaks and groans a bit and the tyres squeal a little when cornering sharply but she handles quite well for a big bus.
You get what you pay for. I'd get another, if the price was right.

2008 Peugeot 207 Diesel Manual 5 speed Hatchback by Eddie • 19th May 2012
Hi there, I have a Nov ’07 Peugeot 207 1.6 HDi 90 Sport.
To drive, it is very comfortable, there’s lots of adjustment in the sporty bucket seats that feel like they’re hugging you. It’s pretty smooth on the road, no unwanted wind noise although on poor surfaces there’s a bit of tyre noise, though this is probably because I am using cheap tyres which means the rubber is very hard. The car handles neatly, quite a bit of fun on a twisty road infact and the steering sends good feedback to the driver. I can’t really complain about the car in this area.
Running costs are superb, I easily get 650 miles to a full tank of diesel and my right foot is fairly heavy at times. Cost’s me 78 euro to fill up over the border in Monaghan (1.54.9 Euro per litre), although I remember when I first got it I filled it for 45 Euro! The VRT is really cheap, £30 a year! On a trip from Armagh- Newry- Belfast- Newry- Armagh it’ll average 60 MPG all day long!
Reliability and Build Quality haven’t been an issue, I never needed any work done under warranty and it still hasn’t required any work apart from servicing every 12.5k miles and the timing belt which I had done at 70000 miles, even though Peugeot told me it didn’t need done till over 100k. The cabin is well screwed together, a few wee rattles which come and go but nothing has fallen off inside or outside.
I must say, after driving 95000 miles over the past 5 years I really have grown a bond with it. Never once has it let me down, the spare wheel hasn’t even been used! Once the new 208 is launched I’ll be parting with my 207, will really miss it! I definitely recommend one as long as it isn’t the 1.4 8v 75bhp engine, I had one as a courtesy car when mine was being serviced and it was dead as doornails, the 1.4 VTI 95 is much livelier! Had a 1.4 HDi 70 for a day, was also dead as doornails but scarily economical, I averaged 67MPG on a 120 mile round trip!

My husband and i purchased our 5008 from ROADSIDE MOTORS in LISBURN last year. We couldnt be any happier with it, it gets us around 50mpg on average and we taxed it last week for only £115! Compared to our last 7 seater the savings are incredible, and its like driving a car rather that a big bus. My kids love it and so do we. Very nice to drive and no problems with it so far. Roadside Motors in Lisburn were very good to deal with and i definitely recommend them.
