2010 Ford Fiesta Petrol Manual Hatchback by storm • 30th July 2016
Needed a new steering column after 50k miles. Steel wheels are getting really rusty for a 6 yr old car. The gear shift cables started seize up at 60k and made gear change annoyingly difficult and squeaked. The rear parcel shelf seems to be made from a cornflake box. I was quoted £700 for a timing belt change by the local fraud dealer. Those massive front doors (on 3 dr)make parking in tight spots really difficult. This is a little old ladies car though they might get their legs crushed by those doors on a windy day.

2009 Ford Mondeo Diesel Manual Hatchback by Goudy • 2nd February 2015
I sold my 2004 Vectra 2.2 DTI SRI which I loved very much and purchased this 2009 Zetec model from a main Ford dealer. The second I got in the car I was very impressed with the toys, comfort, design and I also really liked the look. It has upgraded snowflake alloys from new and it looked excellent. It is a very large car and you do need to be careful parking it, however it also has extra space, added comfort and an enormous boot. Handling is excellent also and it really sticks to the road even if you drive it enthusiastically. It is a 2.0 Diesel with 140bhp. Tons of torque, quicker than I imagined tbh and it gets 38-40mpg about town. Over 50mpg on a run. This is genuinely a brilliant car. It looks and feels more expensive than it is. I am proud to be a Mondeo man.

2012 Ford Kuga Diesel Manual 4x4 by shatter • 3rd January 2014
I have the 163 titanium. Last of the old shape. A pleasant car to drive with the basic creature comforts. Reversing sensors are extra and personally the key-less starting is annoying with nowhere to set the keys. Opening the bonnet is a key splitting broken nail effort. Why it needs to be opened with a key defies me. The split tailgate is perhaps a nice touch but unnecessary. Averaging 39 mpg over the last 4000 miles is the best i have managed. From 2nd gear on this is a reasonably quick car. It pays to shop around for servicing as there is quite a difference in the various Ford dealers.
Overall a very pleasing car.

Excellent car, so comfortable and smooth around town or at motorway speed, lots of space inside and high roof makes if feel even more spacious. Ours is sport model so v well kitted out with extras like air con, electric windows etc all the toys a modern car needs and German quality feel to interior. Really good size boot for this class of car a lot more space and bigger opening than a lot of rivals. Nice strong comfortable car allround

2004 Ford Focus Diesel Manual Hatchback by S & A • 26th October 2012
Bought this Focus in 2005 aged 16 months with about 10k on the clock. 1.8 TDCi Zetec 115. Car never let us down at any point. Properly serviced at the recommended intervals and nothing ever went wrong. Treat a car well and I doubt it will let you down. Sold at around 90,000 miles last year and will be good for another 100k im sure. Upgraged to a new model 1.6 TDCi Titanium and so far another lovely Ford. No costs to date. Would have no hesitation buying another. Cant understand why people expect to be able to run a car into the ground and expect it to provide loyal cost free service.

2006 Ford Focus Diesel Manual Hatchback by not too happy • 4th October 2012
Bought a 2006 1.6 tdci focus in january 12. Had quite a few problems with it. Spent approx £500 in 9 months and has been very hard on diesel, which I wasn't expecting. Had to get a new starter motor a few weeks ago and its now running better and is definitely easier on fuel (no idea why a new starter motor would make it run better though). Up until this I could happily have taken a box of matches and a gallon of petrol to it, just to be shot of it, but I'm slightly happier now its running better. Would think very carefully before buying another Ford.... I'm basing the review on the first 9 months experience.. Maybe in another few months if it keeps going as well as it now the review would be a lot higher..

2003 Ford Focus Diesel Manual Hatchback by Jackie72 • 5th May 2012
Ball of dung!! I had a black 03 Focus 1.8 TDCi 115 Zetec which I bought with 93k on the clock, F.F.S.H and one lady owner. Ok it was a nice enough driving car and it was pretty nippy but that's where the good points end. Thank god the fella I bought it from was dead on and his brother was a mechanic, he always got any problems fixed for me. Though at one stage not even Lindsay Ford in Craigavon couldn't find the fault with it. On a normal summers morning the car would struggle to start after new injectors and battery and when it did start, a lot of black and blue smoke came out of it. Anyway, the gearbox was done after 110k and the clutch was on its way out too. Thankfully I wrote the car off and got exactly what I paid for it 2 years earlier through insurance. My neighbour has the exact same engine in his 2004 MK1 Focus and it's giving huge problems, I only thought mine was bad.. Stay well away from Ford!

2011 Ford Fiesta Diesel Manual 5 speed Hatchback by jk • 8th March 2012
Just recently purchased a 1 year old Fiesta Zetec 1.4 TDCI from Lindsay Ford - Ballymena, for my wife. I rate the salesperson I dealt with very highly, with the few minor issues agreed on at purchase all being dealt with to my complete satisfaction. My wife is really very pleased with the way the car drives, all round visibility, well laid out controls, and excellent economy 58 mpg+ on longer journeys and 52mpg+ for town driving. Even better still, only £20 road tax per year, due to the low co2 emissions, and group 7/8 for insurance, which is really good. My wife was initially slightly distracted by the front heated windscreen lines but now, she does not notice them at all, and she has indeed appreciated the benefit already. I would advise all Fiesta drivers to get mud flaps fitted, as I did after purchase, and I have also purchased a spare wheel and associated items - I am an old traditionalist - and just do not like the idea of the tyre repair kit that the car came with. I know a lot of manufacturers follow the same rationale ie fuel saving etc, but I feel Ford have really hit the mark now with the majority of their new models. I believe this is evidenced by the upsurge in the number of new Ford cars on the road. I feel Ford should give us traditionalists peace of mind by putting a spare wheel, even spacesaver, and all the associated items - jack, wheelbrace etc in the boot. Overall, extremely well pleased both with the Lindsay Ballymena dealership, and the vehicle. I have only reduced the "love rating" mark, as I drive BMW and, this is superior in all respects. However, you certainly pay for this privilege. On the few occasions I have driven my wife's car, the more I like it. I may even consider changing my allegience in a year or so, when I change my car. High spec Kuga/ Focus (both diesel new models) look favourite.

2005 Ford Focus Diesel Manual 5 speed Hatchback by Focus • 2nd January 2012
I've had my 1.6 diesel focus for 2 years now, great car all round. bought this car because of its value for money. Great size diesel engined car for alot less than german or japanese options. Its really grown on me, can not fault it, confortable drive and very easy run I always get 50+ MPG irrespective of how heavy my right foot gets. Parts and service costs are very reasonable. 1.6 TDCI is great engine with smooth acceleration and a boost of power where you need it for overtaking. Cabin has loads of space and loads of headroom and great size boot. The seating position is great all passengers have confortable high seating with great visability drivers seat is heaght adjustable and stearing wheel hieght and distance adjustable to get perfect confortable driving position. The centre arm rest is a nice extra on zetec spec or higher, mine being LX didn't have one but I sourced one from breakers yard for £50. The LX spec cars do not have trip computer with Avg MPG and outside temp meter which is a little missed in winter months but the standard heated front screen is fantastic, great for clearing mist quickly and can even defrost frost and snow from the windscreen at temps where deicing spray or hot water just refreeze.
