2006 BMW 3 Series E90 320si

These were a limited run Homologation Special produced so BMW could compete in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. Just 500 were available to the UK market making this a very rare car.

The N45 was hand built with it's cylinder head cast alongside the BMW-Sauber Formula One Engines. It has a wider bore, shorter stroke, larger overhead cams, an increased compression ratio and a carbon fibre camshaft cover which saved 10kg. The engine sits lower and further back, the suspension is lowered and stiffened and it has a shorter final drive ratio. The result is an engine that revs to 7300rpm with a superbly balanced chassis.

This example has covered 144K genuine miles backed by an extensive service portfolio. Most notable is a full engine rebuild carried out at the BMW Main Dealer in 2013. This included a brand new block with steel liners, pistons, cylinder head and gaskets.

I am the 4th owner, regretfully selling to move into a Touring more suited to family duties. I recently carried out a Full Engine Service with Castrol 5w40, Genuine Filters, Spark Plugs, Aux Belt, Coolant & Waterpump as preventive maintenance. I have run it exclusively on Super Unleaded.

MOT Until April 2025, 2 Keys, HPI Clear and ULEZ Compliant. The wheels are in excellent condition and are wrapped in four matching Khumo Tyres.

It drives fantastic and is a pleasure to steer, everything works as it should and the suspension is supple and compliant. The interior shows very little wear with all the touch points in great condition.

The bodywork is in excellent condition for an 18 year old car, there are no dents or scuffs and the paintwork has a deep metallic shine. The front bumper is showing stone chips and a few small areas of lacquer failing on close inspection.

A rare car being one of the last to have had a rebuild by BMW, enthusiast owned and cherished.
