2005 BMW 535D Diesel Automatic by Matt Wilson • 23rd May 2017
Being the proud owner of a 2005 BMW 535d M-Sport for the past 3 years. The car has 145K on it and I would still jump into it and travel the length of the country with no nerves for reliability. The car looks smart, returns good MPG for the size and feels very safe on the road. Would recommend this car to anyone looking for a car that is practical for every day use, comfortable for longer commutes, powerful for when needed and also a pleasure to own. OK, yes the maintenance costs are slightly more than what you would expect to pay, but that is part and partial of ownership of a large performance german saloon. My car is now 12 years old and I have no plans to change in the near future.

Strongly recommend this car to anyone and will continue to enjoy ownership of mine.

Thank You.

2007 Honda Accord Diesel Manual Hatchback by HonestGuy • 17th May 2017
Bought this car back in 2013. Never had diesel before but liked the smooth pull from low revs all the way to the max. It is an EX model and got all extras as satnav, heated/electric seats , hands free, sunroof , leather interior, folding mirrors etc - all very nice.Having said that I hit a bad egg. Three monts later had to change flywheel/clutch - completely burned, then timing chain, next year the steering rack leaked and had to be replaced, then the infamous VSI- vehicle stability unit failed. Did all repairs myself but still had to buy the parts. From aside all that look bad and here is the main point: anyone willing to follow my steps of buying 90k or more diesel Honda driven localy and hardly serviced properly is taking huge risk. Even regularly serviced cars with this mileage have to be inspected thoroughly. Any clutch slippage, chain rattles or strange noises - just walk away. Honda parts are very expensive, not to mention labour. I generaly do not trust main dealer servicing so even a car with full service history is not to be taken as a safe buy. Take a mechanic to check it. Now the good things - totally love it ,drives well , equipment that come with EX is good, like the leather interior , satnav, touch screen, heated seats are my favoutite, looks great , it's quiet. Hope this helps a little.

Driven for a couple of years. Despite some rough back road driving, no squeaks or rattles from the car at all. Surefooted 4x4 and great visibility from the raised driving position.

Absolutely love this car. Pleasure to drive, reasonably good mpg considering 4 wheel drive. Extremely reliable, everything works very well. Big step up from my last car. Always wanted a BMW and I will definitely buy another one.

Real fun car to drive. The ability to switch between eco, normal and sport driving is the best part about this car. Sport is ideal for city driving when you want a bit more 'poke' to nip through the traffic. A really comfortable drive, and a great looking car!

2012 BMW M6 Petrol Automatic 6 speed Coupe by Jonathan • 26th February 2017
I have had this car for 5 years I love this car had to go to the mechanic once but it is still a very nice car it had very comfy cream leather but it worn quite easy so I put new black leather in it when I bought it, it had 200 miles I have put 62390 miles to be exact quick car a tiny bit hard on fuel but for a 4.2twin turbo v10 it was actually kind of cheap on fuel it is a bit dear to tax £515 a year but then I crashed it I was absolutely devastated because by an absolute mile it was the best car I've ever owned very nice car indeed the only problem as the grandchildren got older they struggled to get in but all and all lovely car

Wasn't aware these are all awd/4wd but glad I got it. Absolutely love this car. Gorgeous to drive, smooth, holds road very well and for a big car it feels sporty and sleek. Bit more fuel consumption compared to the old 1.9 tdi. Roughly 80 mile to 15 quid diesel at 1.18 litre. Roughly 35+ mpg. Not terrible but not great either.

2007 SAAB 9-3 Diesel Manual Saloon by Lynn Mateer • 26th January 2017
I have owned this car for 5 years, totally reliable, good strong motor for the age. Very few problems in this time. As we all know Saab are no longer producing this vehicle, but parts are available, a lot of Vauxhall parts have been used to build - though cant see you needing any. Still one of the best looking cars on the road. Found it to be good with fuel consumption too. Did 27.5k miles in those 5 years.

2009 Toyota Avensis Petrol Manual Estate by ToyotaFan • 19th January 2017
I've owned my T2 estate for 6 years, bought at just over a year old with 11,000 on the clock. i've done another 70k in it and have 2 problems to report: the battery went at 50k (that can happen) and the sound system's LCD display sometimes doesn't work. The system works, but you've got to play with the buttons to get it to display what you're listening to, Other than that this car is flawless and does everything well. You love it for its sheer dependability, although if you're looking for something to get your pulse racing this is probably not it. I have it serviced every 10.000 miles and that's it. For the first few years I got 40mpg, that's dropped to 38.5 now but for a fairly large car being propelled by a relatively small petrol engine that's fine. VVTi revs well enough to pull out into traffic, and plenty of room for passengers and in boot. I expect to keep this car well past the 100k mark, and likely to replace with another the same. Would probably take advantage of the longer warranty now provided and buy a 3 or 4 year old car in that event.

2001 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE Diesel AUTO by Elderflower • 15th January 2017
Drives well. Love the space and the fact that its a luxury drive with the heated leather seats and all the trimmings including the 2 seat setting electric option. Looks the part too! Kerbs are a worry of yesterday. Its a little heavier on the juice than a smaller car, but you expect this for the size and the comfort. Its ahead of its time for comfort and the nice extras. Its also great to be sitting up over the traffic, looking down on most vehicles and being able to see further ahead than I could if is was sitting in a lower car. Its a breeze in the colder, icier weather.

I regret the day i bought this car. Never ending problems

in 18 months, i had problems with the handbrake, clutch, windscreen wiper motor, a blown engine!!!!! a turbo, a crankshaft sensor and an EGR valve. has cost 1000s

I absolutely cannot wait to get rid of this car.

It has caused me no end of bother since the engine went, as if enough wasnt fixed on it. I am sick of it.

2004 Volkswagen Golf Diesel Manual Hatchback by Jonathan Lee • 2nd January 2017
I bought my 2004 Golf in 2008. It has always pasted it's mot first time with very little work needed. Here are the problems the golf has given me, in 2011 (115'000 miles) the dual mass flywheel give up. I replaced it with a cheap solid flywheel which I never has given any problems since ( I now have over 200'000 miles on the car). In 2012 the electric window regular cables on both front doors failed. I replaced them with non genuine regulars which cost about £35 each. no problems with them since as I put plenty of grease around the new cables when fitting them. In 2015 the ignition key inner barrel totally failed. the first signs of the this going to happen is that the key will not turn in the barrel now and again. I replaced the inner barrel with a secondhand one and then reprogrammed the system. The power wires to the boot may break at the top left hand side where the boot lid is hinged. The turbo intercooler pipes can blow apart at the joints when under pressure. I sealed all the intercooler joints with tiger seal a few years and have not had that problem since. Any other problems the car has given me are only due to regular maintenance issues. Although my mk5 Golf has given me problems I have clocked up a lot of miles on it and hope clock up many more.

2016 Hyundai Tucson Diesel Manual Estate by John Morrow • 10th November 2016
We have had several 'SUV' type vehicles and have to admit the Tucson is the best of all, the comfort and practically is fantastic, it is fun to drive and eye catching we have had it now for 6 months and people still stop me in the street asking about it. We dealt at Saltmarine- after visiting a few showrooms we found the best value here, the staff and the friendly 'nothing is a problem' atmosphere was very inviting, I would definitely recommend them.

After nearly 10 years and over 100k miles, the 407 has had little more than routine maintenance. The 1.6 HDi is a modern and economical engine if not the most powerful. Pretty smooth to drive, glides over the potholes easily.

Have owned our Juke 1.5dci fro 16months now and can not fault it. Love the sporty look of it and it is the most easy car to run! Diesel lasts a lifetime. Have not experienced a single issue with it. Value for money also compared to other cars.
Engine is the 1.5dci which is quite nippy. Well finished car inside too.

Highly recomend he Duke for anyone.
