2002 Jeep Cherokee Petrol Automatic 4x4 by Jeep Lover • 10th January 2012
Great as a family car, off road or pulling trailers. I have had mine 7 years from new, I have had 4 other Jeeps and so I think im nearly an expert now. They are very strong, reliable, fast if needed and very good on fuel compared to similar 4x4s. I highly recommend Jeeps to anyone looking at 4x4s.

I've had my 1.8 VVTI for 7 years now, it has 254789miles on it and is all 100% great car all round. bought this car not because i fell in love with it but because of value for money. Great size engined car for alot less than other german options. Its really grown on me, can not fault it, confortable drive and very easy run and service costs not unreasonable

2003 Renault Avantime Petrol Automatic Coupe by Luke McCorry • 7th January 2012
A Renault what? That's the response you have to get used to when owning an Avantime. I understand there are about 5 of these in Northern Ireland, a very rare sight indeed... I had to have one.

Turns heads and attracts questions EVERYWHERE it goes, not a car for people who like to blend in. "Open air" mode opens all windows and the glass roof to make for a pillar-less coupé to attract even more attention. No journey is the same, it's a constant novelty driving the thing!

Being a 3.0 V6 Petrol, it's obviously no Prius to run, but the thing can move. 20 MPG can be seen if you're careful, road tax is £260 for the year. It's very impractical, despite being a huge car there's next to no rear legroom. Reliability is typically Renault. But really... who cares when you're driving one of the most distinctive, special and unique cars on the road? The Renault Avantime really is a hidden treasure, I'll never sell mine.

2001 BMW 5 Series Petrol Manual Sedan by gareth • 6th January 2012
iv owned my e39 now for just over 6 months iv done 6kmiles in it this is my 2nd bmw my first being a 4 cylinder ,il start by sayng that bmw's should only be sold in 6 cyl's there so much better. theres 120k on my car with a full bmwsh when i bought it, but the first thing i done when i purchased it was change the whole cooling system rad, water pump, belts and coolant i recommend changing the lot if it has not been done already.i get around 400 miles to a tank 70%city 30% motorway which im very happy with considering its a 1.6 ton car with a 2,5 I6 engine around the city i average 25mpg and on the motorway 30 and up. the handling is very good on the sport it really whips round the backroads and the roar from the engine at high revs is amazing overall id rate the e39 4.5 out of 5 i hope this review is of use to people

2006 Vauxhall Signum Diesel Manual 6 speed Luxury/Exec by Azzymo • 5th January 2012
For some strange reason I'd always wanted a Signum. Maybe it was due to having the useability of a Vectra in a rather rare shell. Very few of these about. Rarer still was I kept an eye out for an Elite, top spec. Why settle for anything less? The Signum had it all, spaces in bucket loads, full leather, heated seats, adjustable boot/rear passenger space, great stereo, Sat nav, you name it, it had it. Well all apart from reliability.

Seemingly the worst engine in the Vauxhall range is the 150cdti, which was what I had under the bonnet. I could bore you with all (alot!) that went wrong in just over 4 weeks of ownership but I shant. Suffice to say it limped back to the dealership as I realised that you should never buy your (realistic) dream car. My wife was rather pleased though as she hated the size of the thing, which I actually enjoyed. It's quite a bus. It's a very comfortable place to be when it's going and is rather quick for a big girl but was rather thirsty. The boot space was incredible plus I had intended to purchase the fridge unit which fits inbetween the two rear seats, yes, a fridge in your car. This car really had all of Vauxhalls ideas put into one car and it was nice but with high running costs and drastically bad relability I was glad to get my old car back and get my money back too. Unfortunately the more I researched the issues I came across, I found I was not the only one facing hefty repair bills for a diesel Vauxhall. The Signum was refreshing different and affordable to buy but some things are just too good to be true.

2005 Ford Focus Diesel Manual 5 speed Hatchback by Focus • 2nd January 2012
I've had my 1.6 diesel focus for 2 years now, great car all round. bought this car because of its value for money. Great size diesel engined car for alot less than german or japanese options. Its really grown on me, can not fault it, confortable drive and very easy run I always get 50+ MPG irrespective of how heavy my right foot gets. Parts and service costs are very reasonable. 1.6 TDCI is great engine with smooth acceleration and a boost of power where you need it for overtaking. Cabin has loads of space and loads of headroom and great size boot. The seating position is great all passengers have confortable high seating with great visability drivers seat is heaght adjustable and stearing wheel hieght and distance adjustable to get perfect confortable driving position. The centre arm rest is a nice extra on zetec spec or higher, mine being LX didn't have one but I sourced one from breakers yard for £50. The LX spec cars do not have trip computer with Avg MPG and outside temp meter which is a little missed in winter months but the standard heated front screen is fantastic, great for clearing mist quickly and can even defrost frost and snow from the windscreen at temps where deicing spray or hot water just refreeze.

Ideal family car, well built plenty of space. Great for long journeys and you can expect up to 45mpg at an average speed of 68mph. I have owned an xc90 for 3 year, i also have a toyota land cruiser but the volvo is by far a more comfortable jeep to drive.

2000 Seat Toledo Petrol Manual Saloon by Markus • 26th December 2011
Decided to buy this as the equivalent diesel was £3000 more and not as nice to drive. I worked out that it would cost me £700 more per year in petrol so that was still 4 years driving. This was a good decision as the car is very underated and has smooth progressive power from tickover to 6000rpm. It is not going to worry an Impreza but still has enough oomph to overtake with confidence.

Really well equipped for it's age with half leather/alcantara seats, 6 disc autochanger, cruise control, electric seats, climate control and leather steering wheel. Car does 31-34 REAL mpg which is good for a 2.3 five cylinder engine.

To sum up it is a cut price Volkswagen which is better equipped and better looking in the mould of the Alfa 156.

A great car to drive with superb handling and ride comfort. Great space in the back and boot (can fit three sets of golf clubs). Had some problems with coil springs and starter motor was affected by flywheel problems which was expensive to fix. A good family motor.

In these 'austere' times when people need all of the above, how could we forget the car that saved Austin Rovers bacon! A once common car on our roads, we all knew someone who had one.Yet now they are a real rarity. Their frugal running costs and simplicity to fix made them a popular choice. A better car than the later 100 by miles.

This 04 Zafira is a real workhorse. My wife uses it's 7 seats to it's maximum as she childminds and regularly has it full of kids!!
After 3 years have never really had any problems with it although mileage isn't very high.
Reasonably comfortable, very practical and easy to convert from 5 to 7 seats.
