2012 Ford Kuga Diesel Manual 4x4 by shatter • 3rd January 2014
I have the 163 titanium. Last of the old shape. A pleasant car to drive with the basic creature comforts. Reversing sensors are extra and personally the key-less starting is annoying with nowhere to set the keys. Opening the bonnet is a key splitting broken nail effort. Why it needs to be opened with a key defies me. The split tailgate is perhaps a nice touch but unnecessary. Averaging 39 mpg over the last 4000 miles is the best i have managed. From 2nd gear on this is a reasonably quick car. It pays to shop around for servicing as there is quite a difference in the various Ford dealers.
Overall a very pleasing car.

2013 Toyota Avensis Diesel Manual Sedan by Avensis fan • 2nd January 2014
I've had my car for 6 months from new. Very well built with an excellent touch screen Satnav and built in Bluetooth. The car is very quick with lots of torque and returns 60+mpg with only £30 road tax. Niggles; not as roomy as the older model and the lack of a hatchback option reduces load carrying flexibility; taller drivers need to try getting into the driving seat before buying as my knees get caught under the steering column; the electronic handbrake button is hard to reach and sometimes doesn't automatically apply when the ignition is switched off which can be unnerving; I find it difficult to get a good driving position and the rear seats are hard and uncomfortable; the reversing camera is difficult to get used to and is more a means of checking for pedestrians at night rather a practical parking aid.

All in all, a very reliable car that I would certainly buy again hoping the Mr T sorts out the niggles next time.

have 1999 318se love this car. never let me down. have it 5yrs now and no expensive repairs except ball joint on front weels. cant just replace the joints, whole wish bone has to be replaced. at £90 each their not to bad.most comfortable car i`ve ever driven. only thing is i`l have to replace it with another bmw when the time comes. i dont think i could be happy driving anything else. i`m happy with mileage i get to. about 40 to 45 to the gallon if driven with manners. you cant put a cost on comfort you get on a long drive. no more back pain.

A Prestige Car At A Reasonable Price

2003 SAAB 9-5 Petrol Manual Saloon by Satisfied Saab Driver • 11th December 2013
Sadly Saab no longer make cars, but parts and service are still readily available throughout Ireland. I love my Saab. It is a real prestige car, extremely well built and reliable, and more discrete than it's German rivals. If you drive it enthusiastically as it is meant to be driven, then the fuel consumption is a little heavy. As a result I converted mine to LPG, which is half the cost of Petrol. This is the most comfortable car I have ever owned, and the handling is as good as the equivalent Audi, Merc and BMWs which I have driven. These cars are an absolute bargain second-hand (especially the bigger 9-5)and if looked after, will last a lot longer than the equivalent Vauxhalls, Peugeots, etc.

Good value for money crossover!

2013 Hyundai ix35 Diesel Manual Crossover by Hyundai guy • 25th November 2013
Bought this car back in April 2013 with just 500 miles on the clock. I got a good deal at Charles Hurst Belfast with an excellent trade in on my old Avensis. The ix35 is a great all rounder with bags of kit as standard on the premium model. I was particularly impressed with its road manners with no body roll in the corners. Economy is fair in the 1.7 diesel model , I get around an average of 48 mpg. The standard kit is good with Bluetooth and heated seats all round plus reversing sensors which makes parking a doddle. Good cabin space for 4 adults although you do compromise in boot space but it is adequate. All in all vey pleased and would think about the 4 x4 model next time.

Sherman, that's what it should be called, with its capability and mini tank like build quality. It will easily beat up a Rav or Freelander with its 1800kg tow capacity, on road handling, and proper 4wd system with locking diff and low range when off it. Couple that with its luxury saloon car "extra's" and you will forgive its £280 tax and 30-32 MPG.

I have had this car for three years, the only thing that I have had to ever replace has been the wiper blades, tyres and the timing belt... all things you would expect to replace. Huge amount of power, very quiet, very comfortable, amazing hifi - would highly recommend this car for the family. Three years of great driving so far (and the car is six years old!)

2008 Volkswagen Jetta Diesel Manual Saloon by Gin • 21st November 2013
I Bought a 2008 2.0 sport Jetta with 52,000 on the clock in March 2013. It was the best decision I've ever made.
In the past I've had Renaults, Vauxhalls and Peugeots but as soon as I sat in the Jetta it was in a different class to the others.

It's a great car to drive, very sturdy and well built as all VW's are and it has more than enough power for overtaking as well as motorway cruising at leisure.

Running costs are very good for a big engine like this, takin £65 to fill it to the throat and then getting 530-550 miles to the tank, driving with manners.

Never have had any issues with the car, it has never missed a beat and the service intervals are usually every 20k miles although i'll do mine annually to keep her smooth.

Don't think I'll ever go back to previous brands in the future, once you have driven a solid car like this then an Insignia feels like a bag of bottles.

I always wanted one of these. So when i had kids i bought my partner one. Fantastic family car were you know you and the family are going to be very safe in it! In 2 years of driving I can honestly say i haven't had any bother with the jeep, only having to pay for usual servicing and a few tyres. Mine had a full service history when I purchased it so i would say this is an important thing to look for. Amazing in the snow only problem being you will end up towing friends/family out of trouble :)

This is a super car which I've owned for 18mts and it covered just under 70k of which I've done 30. Everyday running the car is no hastle and is a good car to drive on the commute as its comfortable and quite but as it's a 170 overtaking is easy and if your in a rush it will easily do the job.
Fuel economy is ok too once you get over the initial shock of the 65ltr tank. Generally I
See a full 600 mile to one tank and the OBC generally averages about 44mpg. The tax is a bit expensive at 175 but I think it's worth it for the few extra horses. I bought the car due to a new arrival and all the gear that goes along with it and the boot on this car is massive plenty of room for a buggy and the weekly shopping. In the cabin however it's actually a bit tight once the baby seat is behind the passenger that seat needs to be fully forward so the child has leg too also the way the back narrows you won't seat three adults in the back of this car and leg room behind the driver is poor also but the seats are comfortable and supportive and have great adjustment on them so achieving a perfect driving position is easy. As for toys my sport model has everything auto lights auto wipers and climate control. The stereo is good as standard but I personally wouldn't have minded the Bose upgrade similar to the a4.

Big bug bear with this car is the front suspension. It seems to be a fault with the style of it and the passat a4 and a skoda I think suffer the same. At about 60k the front of the car rattles and bumps going slow over uneven roads. Now I pulled out the whole top section and replaced it and it did fix it but it cost 400 for parts which around the same time as the timing belt was a big chunk of money to throw at a relatively fresh car but I suppose the excellent ride and handling has some cost. I did fit febi parts as I was assured they are superior to seat or audi parts so I will see in another 60k I suppose.

Overall this is a super car it looks sharp has plenty of toys and gadgets to keep you in control and entertained as you go about your driving. I would consider a second one come time to change as I am so pleased with it.
